ANC Specifications Consultants
The firm has been in existence since 1977 when Gérard Sanchis, its principal, joined Tedd Darby (now deceased) to form the firm of Specifications, Inc. – now ANC Consultants.
ANC longevity is a testament of a core understanding of construction documents and processes, and responsiveness to its clients.
As architects who specialize as specifications consultants, ANC’s relationship with its clients differs from the typical architect/consultant relationship. While specifications are only a part of the design process, they cover the complete range of issues encountered during design and construction, from the most global contractual matter to the smallest technical detail.
Because ANC staff has the same type of education and training as its clients, we develop a synergistic relationship with them. We are fortunate to have written specifications for a great number of building types and bid delivery methods for some very creative clients. As a result, ANC is able to use the experience gained on past projects to contribute to the success of current and future projects. Our clients rely on our services as a vital part of their internal quality control and claims avoidance program, as well as cost control.

When needed, we offer formatting and typing services to other disciplines of the design team that do not have the knowledge or personnel for the task.
